Two British magicians, Rhys Morgan and Robert West, better known by their stage name Morgan & West, came up with their own version of the classic card magic plot Card Across.

You give one of your spectators a packet of 10 black cards, and to another spectator a packet of 10 red cards. Now you ask the first spectator to just think of one of the black cards they have.

Now something strange happens. When the second spectator is asked to re-count their red cards, they no longer have 10, but 11 cards! The first spectator counts their black cards and they find out they only have 9 in their hands. At this moment, the first spectator names their thought of card out loud for the first time.

You turn the red cards one by one to show that the chosen card has travelled into the red packet!
