He was one of the most knowledgeable and experienced magicians. Over thousands of performances, he honed his magic and show to absolute perfection. Throughout his life, he has met and learned from Dai Vernon, Charlie Miller, Tom Mullica, Al Baker, and Slydini.

Johnny Thompson has been involved in the creation of many theatre, magic, and television shows. He has worked with Criss Angel and Penn and Teller, to name a few. He helped them with their show and Penn & Teller: Fool Us. There, he served as a consultant and was the last person to determine whether or not Penn and Teller were fooled.
