Product detailed description
Andi Gladwin founded Vanishing Inc. with Joshua Jay. He has co-authored dozens of books himself. The Boy Who Cried Magic is the first of his creations.
It will especially appeal to lovers of card tricks. There are sixteen tricks inside, and Andi also teaches fifteen techniques using a deck of cards.
The book is divided into four chapters - Close-up Card Magic, Card Techniques, At the Card Table, and Stand-up Card Magic.
Here are some of the effects and techniques you will find in the book:
- Master Pushoff - This is probably Andi's most famous work. This subtle technique can be used when turning over two or more cards or dealing a second card from the top of the deck.
- Monte Python - A variation on the classic monte effect where the spectator looks for one odd card between two other cards.
- Perfect Order - The spectator selects a card from a shuffled deck in which the cards are face down and face up. The magician reveals the selected card and straightens the rest of the deck, except for cards of the same suit as the spectator's. And they’re in the correct order!
- From the Centre - A demonstration of dealing cards from the centre of the deck, where you draw face-up cards from the deck. Eventually, all four Aces will remain face up in the deck.
- Aura - An effect involving multiple spectators where you reveal three selected cards in different ways. For example, you blindly draw one of them while the deck is in your pocket.
- Ghost - You show four Kings at the start. The spectator chooses a card and then names the black or red Kings. They vanish and appear in the deck with the selected card between them.
- And there’s much more in the book!
With the book, you also gain access to Andi's videos of him performing all of the effects in the book.
