What Are Tarot Cards?
Tarot cards were initially created for playing card games that almost nobody knows now. Over time, psychics and mediums took them over for fortune-telling. Now, they are a synonym for it. If you see a fortune-teller, they will most likely use a deck of tarot cards.
The tarot deck consists of Major and Minor Arcana, making 78 cards. The Major Arcana involves twenty-two cards without suits. It is often used on its own, without the Minor Arcana. The Minor Arcana involves fifty-six cards divided into four suits. The most known version is the Marseille Tarot, created in 1650 by Jean Noblet.
