Dan and Dave started releasing Smoke and Mirrors cards in 2008; by 2012, many different versions had been released. They then went silent for nearly a decade before returning in 2021 for an eighth version (V8).
The V8 Gold edition is the latest addition to the eighth version of the cards and features gold metallic ink.
The back of the eighth version is based on the original design of the first version. The cards feature minimalist figures, modified Jokers, and the iconic Ace of Spades.
Each deck includes a double-backer.
Smoke and Mirrors V8 cards were printed by the United States Playing Cards Company on crushed Premium stock.
