NON PLUS ULTRA is a four-part series written by Magic Christian that portrays the life and work of Johann Nepomuk Hofzinser, who is rightly considered one of the greatest magicians in history and whose work continues to inspire magicians today.
The third and fourth volumes focus on the parlor magic of J. N. Hofzinser and include not only explanations of his magic with reproductions of authentic photographs but also his personal writings and newspaper clippings from the 19th century that describe his effects through the eyes of the audience.
In the third volume, you will find Hofzinser's philosophy and his view on using psychology and music during the performance to create the right magical atmosphere.
The fourth part deals with Hofzinser's creations, methodology, and pattern for the effects performed. The fourth volume includes previously unpublished notes by Hofzinser's most talented student, George Heubeck, which have additional unpublished effects by Hofzinser.
In the end, you will also find the music Hofzinser composed for his performances.
