In 2010, Eugene Burger approached Lawrence Hass to create two books containing Eugene's never published magic. These two books were to be published after Eugene's death. The first of these two books is called From Beyond.
Eugene Burger was one of the world's best and most respected magicians. From Beyond offers 15 tricks for parlor and stage performances, including explanations of Spirit Slates and Eugene's award-winning version of Gypsy Thread. In this routine, the magician tears a long piece of thread, which he then puts back together without any movement. Eugene's complete script accompanies each effect.
In addition to magic tricks, this book contains essays on magic theory or an interview with Eugene Burger himself. The book also includes links to video recordings of Eugene's performances of the effects in question.
