About Us
We opened the Butterfly Magic Store in 2022. A few years before that, we started running an online store. It was an official store for Butterfly Playing Cards and other Butterfly-related products.
In 2021, we opened a brick-and-mortar magic store in Prague, Czech Republic, called Butterfly Wonderland. As we received more decks, tricks, and books, we transformed our international Butterfly shop into a magic store.
Until now, it sounds like we’re just another magic shop. What is unique about the Butterfly Magic Store?

We founded Butterfly Magic Store because we love magic and playing cards. We enjoy reading about releases, effects, and theories and testing new playing card stocks and finishes. With the same passion we have for magic, we approach our customers.

Curated Selection of Products
From the start, we didn’t want to become the magic store selling everything. That’s why the range of products is not as broad as at other shops.
We want to offer only the products we are confident you will like and will be happy with your purchase. We do a lot of research before bringing a product into our store, often testing it beforehand. You won't find it here if it doesn’t meet our standards and expectations.
Original and Detailed Product Descriptions
We discovered that many magic shops use standard ad copies of the released products. Sometimes, these descriptions feel incomplete and miss important information.
We’ve written almost all of the product descriptions on our website. We try to best reflect the product, its intended use, and who will benefit most from it.
Our mantra is to be honest and transparent and stick to it at every opportunity.
Careful and Eco-friendly Packaging
Our talented team carefully packages everything you order. We use silk paper to wrap playing cards, tricks, and books, so every package feels like a present.
All the items are placed inside cardboard boxes to prevent them from getting damaged on their way to you.
We don’t use plastics for packaging. If we need to fill empty spaces in boxes, we use brown packing paper, usually reused from the packages that come to us.
Even though there is no bubble wrap inside our packages, everything is packaged securely.
Fast and Reliable Shipping
We care about our customers’ experience until the very end. It doesn’t end for us with the completion of the order or with us shipping it out. That’s why we paid close attention to shipping services and selected the ones we consider the best.
Almost all orders from our store are shipped using courier services: DPD, DHL Express, and FedEx.
All have detailed online tracking and fast and reliable service. For example, even the most affordable FedEx service delivers in two weeks at the maximum!
In the past, we frequently offered standard shipping via traditional postal service because of its low cost. But it came with a price. Many packages got damaged or lost in transit.
That’s why we went with couriers. They are more expensive, but the service quality is incomparably better than the postal service.
Here are some examples to show the advantages of courier services*:
- Orders within the EU are mainly shipped via DPD Private, whose delivery time is seven days, but usually, it’s even shorter.
- Most orders shipped with DHL Express are delivered two days after we expedite them.
- If you order from the US, your order will be delivered in ten days, no matter your chosen delivery method.
Free Deck of Butterfly Playing Cards
If your order is over 85 EUR without VAT (roughly 100 EUR with VAT), you get a free deck of Butterfly Playing Cards. The free deck will change every month. We’ll announce the change at the start of the new month through our social media and newsletter.
Free International Shipping
In addition to the free Butterfly deck, you may qualify for free shipping. All orders within the EU over 150 EUR are shipped for free!
Don’t worry - we haven’t forgotten about the rest of the world. All orders outside the EU over 300 EUR get free shipping.
And! We almost exclusively use courier services for free shipping, so your order will be delivered swiftly and safely.
No Extra Taxes or Fees within the EU
We ship all orders from our warehouse in Prague, Czech Republic. If your order travels to a destination in the EU, there will be no additional taxes, fees, or customs.
No VAT outside of the EU
If you’re shopping outside the EU, you don’t have to worry about VAT. It is automatically deducted from the total price at checkout.
